    Hamster Humour

Hai! This is Maggie! I am baaaaaaaaack! I just wanted to shares with you somefings that makes me roll on floor, laff out lowd! Do you know why this iz funneez to kitteez? Because we kitteez know that hamsterz don't have any table mannerz, so when I Can Has Cheezburger comes out with a caption like dis one for hamsters (having a tee party, no less! ::Maggie rolls eyes here::), we kitteez are struck by the sense of supreme (albeit imbecilic) irony of the situation.

    Happy Wednesday, Kittens!

  • Do Alls Kitteez Luv Bacon?!

    Do Alls Kitteez Luv Bacon?!

My name is Maggie and I luvs BACON!!!  My Mommy sez I am a Bacon Connoisseur, because I like Honey and Maple Bacon. I like it even when it is nuked in the microwave, but I likes it best when it is fried up golden tender and not tooooo crisp in the frying pan. When Mommy and Gwampa aren't looking, I get up onto the dining room table and lick their bacon. I don't akshully eat it per se, though I do take a few tentative, tiny, baby nibbles on it. I likes to lick bacon. Mommy sez I need to go on a diet. I think Mommy and Gwampa are the ones that need to go on a diet! Nanny nanny boo boo!

Anyways, this is a picture of a kitty who has similar tastes to mine. Maybe we can open a restaurant together, for bacon luving kitteez!

PS: I luvs maple syrup, too! I even luvs Log Cabin. But Mrs. Butterworth?! Blek!

  • Grampa Kitty and Techanology

Oh NO! Oh NO! Oh NO! NO! NO!!

Gwampa is 69 years old, and despite the fact that he is vewy intelligent and has a post graduate degree, he has until recently steadfastly refused to learn how to do much with a computer. This despite the fact that Mommy has been online for ten years now and has been willing to teach Gwampa how to do email and how to navigate the Internet. Mommy gave up trying to gently hint at Gwampa about his needing to learn how to use a computer, about six months ago. WELL!! This was tantamount to Unintentional Reverse Psychology, because... NOW GWAMPA WANTS TO USE MOMMY'S COMPUTER!!! ***EEK!!! Shrieks emanating fwom Maggie and Mommy's computer* We know Gwampa, and we know him well enough that he is slow to try trendy new things like being online but once he gives in, he will be using our computer ALL THE TIME! We won't like it if we can't use our computer whenever we want! Please send up prayers and good thoughts that Santa will bwing us another computer this winter!

And what if Gwampa starts reading my blog? Or Mommy's blog? Oh my! Gwampa is not only a research chemist, he is a technical editor and he will be telling us how to write better, which we guess could be a good thing.

Be careful with your humans, kittehs. They are unpwedictable critters. You never know when they are going to want to borrow your computer and not let you have it back when you want to use it!! Smileycons!

Gwampa will pwobably turn into a Computer Nerd. Well, I will just sit on his lap while he uses the computer and enjoy surfing the 'net and sending email... and shopping for Gourmet Gerbil Juice and Imported French Chipmunk Champagne with him. This way I won't have to hide what I've already ordered online with Gwampa's credit cards... Smileycons!

  • Gweetings, Kitty Fans!

    Dear Kitty Fans,

My mommy caught wind of the fact that Xanga now works with the offline blog editor Windows Live Writer, and she sez that this will make it easier for her, er, I mean MOI to blog on a more regular basis. Let me entertain you! My mommy, er, I mean I spent a little while this afternoon typing up some Vewy Interesting Cat Quotations to share with the Wonderful and Wacky World of Xanga on a daily basis. I am sorry, but these are quotes ABOUT cats, not by cats. We cats are a species unto ourselves (what in the Sam Hill does THAT mean?! Tongue out I heard someone who was allegedly vewy smart and learned say that once and I don't know what it means, but it sounds good! Ha ha HA!).

I digress. We kitties are a cute but sneaky bunch, and we don't allow ourselves to be quoted on the Internet. Our words would be misconstrued and misunderstood at every turn. This, of course, is assuming that any of you mere humans are intelligent enough to speak and comprehend Advanced Kitty-ese. When some of you drink Dr. Pepper combined with eating Double Chocolate Butter Rum Melt in Your Mouth Brownies in vast quantities, you are capable of thinking in a manner similar to a cat on a Catnip Trip to the Moon. What I meantersay is that during those kind of moments (when the caffeine, the polyethylene glycol, the chocolate, the rum, and the sugar provide a synergistic effect similar to Catnip use in the superior species of felines), you are capable of thinking and speaking in Kitty-ese. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, it's still not quite enough (by far!) to help you understand completely the extraordinarily superior Feline Humor. In other words, Cat Jokes are totally wasted on you mere humans. But, we love you anyway! Red heart

Back to the original intent of this blog entry: Please stay tuned for Cat Quotations! Mommy and I think you Kitty Fans will quite enjoy the ever so droll and amusing quotes and the pretty and/or comical graphics. And, from time to time, I will share recipes for Charcoal Grilled Chipmunks, as well as enlighten you about the finer points of spoiling your Supreme Kitty Masters. Also, there will be pictures from I Can Has Cheezburger.

  • No Bunnies Allowed!!!

    NO BUNNIES ALLOWED!!!

Mommy asked Grandpa if he would give her permission to have a nice Dutch dwarf bunny in the house (in a nice, clean cage) if she could get it litter trained and prove that it would not cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to the house and the contents thereof  by chewing on electrical wires for TVs, stereos, computers, etc. etc. etc. Grandpa said a resounding "NOOOOOOOOO!!!! There will be NO BUNNIES in this house! Spend your time with Maggie!"

Since Grandpa's word is sometimes final, Mommy has (for now) given up the idea of getting a pet bunny to pet and cuddle with. I tried telling Mommy before she asked Grandpa for permission to have a bunny in the house that a bunny would pee and poop on her best clothes, but Mommy wouldn't listen to me. I might be a little and young cat, but I am wise beyond my years.

Anyway, ever since Grandpa said "NO BUNNIES!", I have been Prima Pussycat Princess and have been the recipient of more cat toy gifts and wet food and cuddling (blek!) and my purrsonal favorite: lots of interactive play time with my Mommy. I have decided to reward Mommy for her worship of and subservience to me by deigning to sit on her lap for twenty minutes at a time - all of my own free will! I know! I'm too good to her, but she's trying to please me, thus I toss little tokens of affection to her as needed. Nah. Actually, I like my Mommy. She talks to me in an intelligent fashion and treats me with respect - most of the time. Her big flaw is that she likes to cuddle kitties too much.

Anyway, I suppose I will condescend to let her put a pretty red harness and leash on me and let her parade me about in the back yard for all the song birds, neighbor dogs behind fences, and RODENTS to see and admire/be afraid of. Then when we come inside, I will do my Beverly Sills impurrsonation and sing some opera for Mommy until she opens a fresh can of Grilled Salmon Fancy Feast. I really only like the juice in there. I'd like the meat/fish part ever so much better if it was seasoned with a smidgen of gerbil.... but we'll talk about that another time. My brother held a doctorate in Gerbilology, Gerbilosophy, and also was a graduate of the Cordon Bleu Gerbil Culinary Arts. He taught me a lot of neat things. Like did you know that gerbils make nice tidbits for chocolate fondue? Oops! My Mommy is coming to the computer! Don't let her see that last sentence!]

    Ta Ta For Now, Kitties!

  • Gweetings!

    Gweetings!!

Hi ya! My name is Maggie McGee. I am a Wild Celtic Kitty - sometimes. I just woke up from a long, snowy afternoon nap. I like to nap. After I nap, I am full of the dickens. Grandpa says I am gebeezling. Mom says I am polluted on catnip. (What does "polluted" mean? ) Anyhow, I am up from my nap, and after I do a little Road Runner jog around the house, I will share some pictures of me with you. Do you like kittens? I hope so!

Pwease be my fwiend. My bwother Kiki Thomas McFierceson http://www.xanga.com/KikiThomasMcFierceson just died a month ago and I am vewy, vewy, VEWY lonely and sad without him. My mom doesn't want to get another kitty, and I don't want her to get a puppy. So, my mom is wesearching the possibiwity of getting a bunny for all of us to wuv and be fwiends with.

    I'll see you later.

    Wuv and Kitty Snuggles,
